How do you see yourself walking down the aisle?
I want to see your choices from your perspective, that’s why I make this question to my brides every-time! It’s important that you have a vision about how you want to look on your day. Do you want to be a modern bride or more traditional? How do you usually wear your makeup? I always recommend that my brides start taking care of their skin as much as possible, and try to establish a great skincare routine weeks before your day. Sometimes we neglect our skin without realizing that our skin has memory.
Hydration, hydration! Yes, drinking enough water is always beneficial but things like getting a gentle cleanser, staying away from alcohol-based products (ok you can still have a margarita!) but you know what I mean. Hot showers do feel good but not on your face please! Humidifiers are a great investment for your skin as well. If you have never had a facial, this is the time! You will see an immediate improvement in the appearance of your skin.
A bridal trial is when you find your ideal look for your wedding day and I’m always all ears on that day. Don’t be afraid to ask me questions or ask for adjustments, my job is to understand your vision and I’m here to answer any concern that you may have or anything you may not feel comfortable with. You may want a different lash style, or maybe enhancing the eyeshadows which is easy to fix and trust me if you ask me to do some changes you will not hurt my feelings! On the contrary I will appreciate your honesty.
For inspirational makeup I like to recommend pictures that are not overly edited; many of the makeup found on Pinterest has filters or has been photoshopped so always keep that in mind. Try looking at inspirational pictures of people with similar features and age to yourself.
One more thing, brows! Get your brows waxed. It makes a big difference and shadows will blend better over a smooth surface and your overall look will be much cleaner.
If you are getting married, trials are a must! It makes the event morning run much smoother since we don’t have to worry about what look to do as you already know what to expect.
