How I remove my makeup and something about me…
I went to Esthetics school in my country and worked as an Esthetician for a couple years. After moving to the USA I was told I would have to go back to school and get another Esthetician degree from here if I wanted to work. I really didn’t feel like doing that and chose a different path. I am not an Esthetician anymore but the love for skincare has never vanished. There are amazing skin products that we can get, expensive and less expensive ones that do wonders. I’ve always found botanicals both natural and home-made recipes fascinating. I’ve only seen an esthetician once or twice in the last ten years. Nothing against it, 18 years ago I was an esthetician too! I think it is always a good idea to see these fabulous professionals of skin care and hands of gold! It’s a positive skin experience! So I’ll be going to see one soon and I can’t wait! Until that happens, I make sure that my skin is clean and of course hydrated, especially after wearing makeup all day!
Do you double cleanse? Basically, it means using two products to remove your makeup and none of those products are wipes! There are many different types of natural oils and cleansing oils out there! Let me tell you I’m loving Jojoba oil, Jojoba oil is so special because it is composed in a similar way to sebum, the natural oil that our faces produce. It is gentle to your eyes and perfect to remove your makeup. After doing research and listening to different estheticians I gave it a try and fell in love. It removes all of my makeup quickly and effortlessly!
How do I remove my makeup?
I use three drops of jojoba oil to remove the makeup on my eyes and face. Gently I start with my eyes by moving my fingers in a downward motion.
Then massage in circles, my forehead, cheeks and rest of my face and neck.
I use a face washcloth (this one is so important!) to clean my face and makeup that the oil has broken down. Then follow up with a cleansing gel, serum and eye cream.
I use Jojoba oil as a makeup remover but sometimes even as a moisturizer. I’m normal to dry skin but this applies to any type of skin including sensitive skin. If you have oily skin Jojoba oil regulates your skin oil production and because it has a composition very similar to sebum, it doesn’t make your skin produce more oil. So how Amazing is that!
