The Perfect Set Of Lashes!
They are not to be worn everyday but too nice to be left out for a special occasion! Lashes highlight such an important part of your face- your eyes! Making them look bigger and lifted; what’s better than that? As a makeup artist I apply lashes to almost every makeup I do! There are many reasons why lashes complete the makeup but before you buy a pair, keep in mind that they are different in shape and fullness and for this reason they will make or break your eye shape.
Strip Lashes
There is a huge selection of styles! From the inner to the outer corner of your eye, these lashes, natural or bold are definitely the fastest way to get the job done. However, for many people they can be hard to put on and only practice will make it easier.
I have clients that tell me they cannot wear strip lashes because they’re too long for their eyes. On the other side I notice some girls wear their lashes incorrectly. Let me make this simple for you, do not be afraid to trim your lashes, with a sanitary small pair of scissors they can be trimmed to fit your eye! Any lash that extends past your natural lash needs to be trimmed, otherwise it will be too long and extremely uncomfortable all day.
Important: Make sure you only trim from the outer corner of your strip lash.
Cluster Lashes
These individual flare lashes are my favorite for the mother of the bride or clients that want a more natural and layered look. These take longer to apply because they basically are individual lashes in a bundle form. If you don’t mind spending a little longer while applying your lashes they come in different lengths to help you flawlessly customize your lash line.
Clusters can also be used to customize a regular strip lash. If you wish to do this, make sure the strip lash has already been cut to your eye length prior to custom building it, then just glue a few clusters on top to add length and volume. Let it dry. Then put glue along the whole strip and wait for it to get tacky. Looking down into a mirror press the lashes to your own lash line.
Before you apply your lashes make sure your natural ones are free of oil, makeup or any residue that can be on them.
Buy a professional lash adhesive for a strong hold and please don’t use too much of it.
For the perfect lash avoid dense and very heavy lashes to your eyes, they make your eyes look smaller and droopy giving them also a very unnatural look.
They are called false lashes but if they are applied appropriately, they should look anything but false!
